God and Mammon

This is a message actually shared by Pastor David Goh from Banner of Love church which I think is relevant in the light of the world right now...

Yesterday, I was invited to a marketing business plan which shared about opportunities of business and I won't say bad things about the business but there was something that really struck my mind. The people there who were promoting this business were mainly having motives of:

1) Proving to other people that they could make it big
2) Wanting to make money
3) Wanting to help ease the burden of their families (I consider this a noble reason)

And just by seeing the 1st 2 of these motives does it no confirm more of what the bible says in 1st John 2:15-16 which says "Do NOT love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world - the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life - is not of the Father but is of the world! "

Now whether or not you may be in such a business is not my concern, but 1st of all to you Christians:

My brothers and sisters, I plead with you, please please do not run after the things of the world. Do not be obsessed with them for when our Lord and Saviour, Jesus comes again, all these things will BURN UP in the flame and you will be left standing naked before Him and all your treasures you laid up here on earth will just be gone... Please.. Spend your time on earth to seek His face.

Yes no doubt money is important, in fact I would accept it if someone gave me 1 million dollars but if to gain the 1 million would mean compromising my relationship with God,

FORGET IT!!

Please..run after Him..Only then can your joy be full..

To you non-Christians, I cannot tell you how wonderful and awesome Jesus is and how fulfilling He is, filling up the very holes and emptiness in your heart which even loads of money can't fill. All I can do is pray that you will find out that the stuff of these world will not last, but it will all be rot and dust when Jesus comes again.. However, I guess it's something that you all must go through to find out that Jesus is MORE THAN ENOUGH for you..

Anyway back to a portion of the message shared by Pastor David: Alright, in Matthew 6:24 - No one can serve 2 masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Notice this that the only other god mentioned in the New Testament is mammon. Jesus didn't even mention anything about the Baals, Ashtoreths and etc... and if you realize that in the Old Testament, any other god that comes up, God would "challenge" that God and show that He is superior to those other gods..

eg. In Exodus, the plagues that happened were actually showing how powerless the gods of Egypt were. For instance they worshiped the sun but the sun was darkened and no light was given.

So even in this time, God is shaking the heavens and the earth. God is show His superiority over mammon. Take a look at all these economic crashes, currency just dropping, inflation etc.. and take note, these are only the beginnings and the worst is yet to come! God is staging a "fight" with the god of mammon cause He wants to show His people and the rest of the world not to depend on money but to depend on Him Who is the source of EVERYTHING!

Therefore, in conclusion, let us not look to money as our everything but to God and Him alone. Our God is everlasting, infinitely rich and glorious, even the sparrows He takes care, what more us who are of more value than sparrows (Matt 10:29-31).

Paul Washer - "Young man...some of you need to get off your Facebook! "

lol...people know me as the "anti-Facebook" person and I know by posting up this post, I'm going to receive a lot of criticism. But before you start shooting me, I just want to clarify that

Facebook is NOT BAD! (if put in proper use)

Yes Facebook can be used to promote events very effectively and perhaps even get a crowd to your event (eg.Easter, Christmas) ...

Yes by Facebook you can know what your friends are feeling, their emo-ness and therefore encourage them...

Yes Facebook can connect you to friends whom you have long lost (a point which I have to admit is a good part of Facebook)

Yes Facebook allows you to play games and keeps you entertained.

Just take these 4 reasons ok..

Though Facebook can promote your events, try comparing it to this... BUT if I were to trade the time I spend on Facebook, trying to set up the poster etc... with praying and getting in tuned with God... Would not signs and wonders follow me?? eg. healing, prophecty etc... and by that happening wherever I am, would not people be drawn to it? I mean a city on a hill cannot be hidden right?? O_o Light somehow still shines in darkness right? Comparing these 2, by Facebook, people know about the event but by praying "kao kao", people know and people WANT to come..which is more effective?

Yes people nowadays post up all their emotions on Facebook..so to keep up with whats going on, Facebook is a good tool... And when you do find a friend that is emo, you encourage and perhaps in that way touch his/her life.. BUT compare it to this.. Instead of frequently checking Facebook for updates on how people feel, spend time praying and ask God to show you who is in need.. God reveals and you contact that person... I'm sure the person would be SHOCKED as in how did you know the situation he/she is going through and this would definitely cause this person to be instantly encouraged and open to God right?? Power! lol

*The 3rd point as mentioned above is really a good thing but perhaps if looked in the ideal way, we could actualy consider praying and God directing us to meet up with that long lost friend via His divine apointment (a lot of testimonies of that).. =)

Facebook may entertain you, but I have seen some who have used Facebook for games, videos etc.... to the extent they spend hours on it..Spamming here and there on people's pages (via commments I think) and you know, as a Christian, it really is disappointing to see these young people spend time on Facebook but not with God (believe me I have witnessed this 1st hand). Imagine if the time spend on Facebook was spent with God.. Imagine the revival we would be see-ing!

Bottomline...Facebook is not bad...but to use it, you must be able to control it and not it controls you..if it takes up your time with God, better delete the account.. Should your whole body go to hell because you lived a live of little passion for God cause you spent more time with Facebook? But if by using Facebook, you can control, then by all means USE IT FOR GOD'S GLORY! =D

but 4 me, I want to be an example to the younger generation whom I work with that we can live without Facebook and that God is all we need! ....

Warning out Of Judgement or Love?

Helooo people!..2nd post of the year..lol...anyway, I've been going through a rough time. A time in which i think God is working to remove the impurities in me that I may be pure. And Yes there are a lot more of impurities which I Still see in myself and I'm allowing this Refiner's Fire to clean me up..I know it's gonna be super hard to go through, but by His strength and ONLY by His strength I will overcome.

Anyway, what I've been facing this week is this. It starts with a call from someone very close to me saying, "I feel uncomfortable with the way you quote scripture.

WHAT!!!

I LOVEEEE to quote scripture and now you say you are uncomfortable with me doing that? (that was exactly what went through my head at that moment) And you know, when it comes from someone really close it actually PRICKS! =/

So of course I had to look into it as u never know God actually uses people to tell you your errors when you ain't listening to Him. And I went to get a second opinion. And yup, this other person said i was to judgmental and that I should try to see things from other people's point of view.

OK !! SO 2 people kinda like confirmed with me that something was wrong with me. And I asked God on what is to be done and whether or not I should tone down when warning people of God's judgment or against lukewarmness. And as I read my bible, I was at:

ezekiel 3: 18-19 - When I say to a wicked man, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. ¹⁹ But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself.

So in conclusion is this:

SORRY

to the people who have been offended by me when I quoted scripture and seemed to be judging you or if I was to harsh and did not understand you or your situation. I'm sorry I could not think of other stuff to advice you cause to me I thought that by sharing with you God's way, it could help you out in your situation and sorry cause I don't know much of other methods. All my methods only come from the bible cause I don't really read other books.

HOWEVER

I will still not condone sin or anything that goes against God's ways no matter how you tell me your situation is cause if I did condone it, I would be in deep trouble before God. And like what the verse said (Eze 3:18-19), I do not want your blood on my hands.

BUT

If ever I do warn you, I'll warn you out of love and not of a judgmental spirit. And I know i might fail someday or sometimes but right here right now, I give you the permission to tell me if I sound to judgmental. Help me to learn how to tell or warn in a loving way.. Thanks people. Would really appreciate your cooperation with me on this. =)

sorry people for the looooooonggg time I did not blog..lol..u noe lar..college life with all the assingments and exams etc....

and u noe..1 regret throughout this exams and assingments is that I did not spend time with God. And the result of that is my results not being as good as b4. seriously. honour God and He will Honour you.. let me repeat

HONOUR GOD AND HE WILL HONOUR U!

For you students out there, let me remind u once again, we are in this world to serve God and to live for His glory. Our main goal here is not just good results and all that kinda stuff. However dun get me wrong that i'm askin u not 2 study at all but rather, to put God 1ST no matter how busy u may be.. God 1st ya! =) Seek ye 1st the kingdom of God and His righteousness and the rest shall be added unto You.

Anyway, purpose why i write this blog is 2 share with u people some of the stuff which has actually struck with this few weeks or so.. With the wake of the church burnings and all that plus also some stuff in college which really pissed me off, all i felt was anger and thought of the ways of revenge but clearly if i was to harbour anger and think of revenge, what different would that make me from those that piss me off or even those church burners?

Going back to the book of Matthew and the sermon on the Mount, Christ actually thought us what to do when people offend us or even piss us off. Reading from:

Matthew 5:39 - Jesus said, "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on
your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and
take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also.

Matthew 5:44 - But I say to you, love your enemies and bless those that curse you, do good to
those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute
you that you may be the sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes the sun
rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and unjust. (my
favourite part --->) For if you love those who love you, what reward do you
have?

From what we see here in Jesus' teachings, its like TOTALLY out of this world. Anyone in this world would definitely react in the opposite manner. However, coz we are christians, we are called to be salt and light to this world, to be different. And i know its easy for me to say this and to preach, but believe me, i go through the exact same thing that i speak about here in my college and each day i pray for strength to react the way Jesus would. What bout u? Will you do the same?

One modern example of a person who actually followed this teaching of Jesus is my mum. For more than 10 years, there was this person who like totally hated here. She wanted to resolve this issue and talk it out so that there won't be any tensions, but that person refused to. However, instead of like retaliating and playing cold war, my mum actually continued to cook 4 that person, helped that person out in all ways that she could and of coz continued to uphold her in prayer.

AND GUESS WHAT!!!!

1 day, after like 10 long years, the person came up 2 my mum to apologize and now they are like really cool with each other.. Amazing isn't it, God's ways!? =D .. We are to conquer evil with good and not evil with evil. Yes it is harder but the results are also better. Bigger sacrifice, Bigger fruit. So what will your reaction to be to people who actually hurt you?

this video has really touched me on how the King of kings would come down 2 dis small planet called Earth and not only that..would give His life so that we may have life..

I realy realy duno wat else 2 do 2 thank this amazing God of mine n i duno how else you who read this can thank this amazing God..The only thing God deserves and wat we owe God is our lives..

If this has touched you and you juz duno wat to do then pls leave a msg at the chat box of this blog..n i juz pray that you who read this blog, for christians that u will be reminded of this amazing God and begin 2 make it a point 2 alwayz be all out 4 Him coz thats what He deserves and that u will alwiz be amazed. For non-christians, i hope you noe wat God has done 4 u n how depraved u r that it took the Son of God's death to save you n theres no better way 2 repay this then 2 offer up ur lives to Him as living sacrifices.

Testing WILL cOme! =D. pRaIsE GoD

Testing will come and yet i say praise God.lol. wonder y? u'll c in the end.

Nways lets start to deal with the fact that testings will come.

In Psalms 81:7 - "you called in trouble, and i rescued u; i answered you in the hiding place of thunder; i TESTED you at the waters of Meribah."

Well we Christians who have been saved noe wat it was like before we were saved. WE called out to God to save us n in His amazing grace He did! (you called in trouble, and i rescued u). We went on living our lives and we have seen the goodness of God, the wonderful miracles He has done in times where things seem impossible with men sumhow manage to happen. (i answered you in the hiding place of thunder - being answered by thunder is not sumtin normal.=_=).

And GUESS WAD!

WE WILL BE TESTED
(i TESTED you at the waters of Meribah)

U c.God will test His people coz wat is faith if it cant be tested? and this testing is also to show us whether we have actually been following God cz of the blessings and when He stops givin blessings to us would we still seek Him or juz turn our backs? =S. Testing also are also to produce perseverance as it says in James 1:3 - The testing of ur faith produces perseverance.

As we draw close to the 2nd coming of Christ, Testings will come all the more 2 an even greater degree! This is coz God wants to separate the weed from the grass, the goats from the sheep and those who have never genuinely love God will fall away to the cares of this world. I sincerely hope ur nt 1 of them. But nway, hope for those who dun fall away. As u go thru this testings, and u "pass" them, u are one of those ppl who God is gonna use POWERFULLY to do His work in the last days.

Noticed why i highlited the Powerfully? In Luke 4:1 it says that Jesus was led about by the Spirit in the wilderness. U c ! Some of us may be goin thru the "desserts" of life (testings) as we experience lack of resources and etc. I noe im goin thru 1 now with the assignments and all piling up n the lack of knowledge in how to do it all. BUt u noe. im NOT GONA WORRY! =)..cz if u read on in Luke 4:14, It says that Jesus returned in the POWER OF THE SPIRIT! dosent it juz make u rejoice when goin thru testings? it does me coz i noe as i yield myself more to God in the midst of this troubles, I will come out of it in POWER of the Spirit!!

So my bros n sis in Christ, let us not be down when goin thru testings but rather REJOICE coz our God has sumtin amazing installed for us as we go thru this testings and there will be POWER!! =D. so REJOICE!

FeAr God ALONE!

yoyo..sori ppl 4 d long absence. due to reasons lik er..lab reports, assignments, and lazy =P, i haven been updating..sori ya..=(..

anyway i was reading my bible in 1 of my quiet times recently n there was something that reli reli spoke out 2 me..something we hear so often but YET find it so hard 2 apply in our lives..

In Psalms 76:7 it says; You(God) alone are to be feared. Who can stand before You when You are angry?

u c it says God ALONE is 2 be feared..noticed y i emphazise the word alone? its cz so many times as humans that we tend to fear so many other things such as "what ppl would think if i did this for God?", "would the outcome be ok?" and etc etc. BUT the bible says ALONE and it means ALONE! .

For example, lets just say something good happens in your life. Would u praise God's name in front of those who comes and compliments you despite them being atheist or non-believers? i admit there are times im afraid to bring God's name in the picture when responding to such praises especially coming from sum1 older (eg.aunt, uncle) cz u neva noe how they mite shoot u bac but this words really shot me! cz God ALONE is to be feared..in oder words we juz do what He commanded us to do and in this case is to glorify His name despite the fact that we could be ridiculed..

Now this is juz an example and there are actually many other ways we could stand up for God but yet we choose not to coz we fear what men might think.

Besides that, fearing God ALONE is also 2 show that we trust Him knowing that wateva He tells us to do, He will see us thru it despite there being opposition from men. i lik wat dis phrase "1 man + God = MAJORITY!" .and it also says that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. so why should we fear those who are of the world? 0_o..amazing!! In addition to that, it also says fear not men who destroy only the body BUT fear God who has the power to destroy both the soul and the body! ..

Btw, this fear that i speak off is not that lik afraid or anytin lik dat but rather its awe and reverence, noe-ing that God is the ultimate power and His will will be done! =)..

so yeah! if u have been convicted reading this post about standing up for God despite what ppl mite think n u haven been doin so, 2day is the day 2 purpose in ur heart to be 1 who fears GOD ALONE! =)..join me as we proclaim the greatness and goodness of God to men not caring what they mite think bout us. And yes it wouldn't be easy as spoken BUT we are neva to do it in our strength but instead to depend on God for His strength to be bold! so yea pray 4 strength!

its been awhile since i last updated my blog cz din find anytin convincing enuf 2 write..need 2 overcome me lazi-ness u noe..haha..but nway 2day d ting dat happened at church reli striked me..n i juz have 2 write it..lol..

As we were worshipin the God of ages whos love endures forever, one of the members (my mum) had a word from God n it goes lik this.."when u look out in the darkness to the sky, you see the stars shining. They shine my(God) glory. You (the church) are my stars to shine my glory."

now jus tink bout dat 4 a moment..the stars do not sin, they are witout spot or blemish and they are glorious in their own way.Perfect for reflecting God's glory n to shout His fame..

BUT

men! who sin, who disobey God, who turn their backs on God..most unreliable to shine His glory and shout His fame.

N GUESS WAD!!

God CHOSE US TO SHINE HIS GLORY!!!

jus tink bout dat 4 a moment..we as men have so much spot, so much blemish n are so imperfect..why would God even want to choose us to shout His fame? i tink in so many things we do we de-fame God's name especially in our daily lives wen sum of us speak profanity or do things which u noe is not Christ-like. n YET God chose us?

DOSEN'T THIS AMAZE U!!??=0

it sure amazes me..dat y we mus begin to embrace the thought that the fact that we serve God is a PRIVELEGE! for example in music ministry. Just think bout this..God created angels and the heavenly choir who sings sooooo much better than us. who makes even better music which is imcomparable to that of earth. BUT YET He chose us to sing n make music to Him..

Until we fully understand that its a great privelege we will never be serving God effectively coz when u take it as a duty, when hard times come, would u not fall away so easily and that serving in church or various ministries be ur last option??

Thats why my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We must take it as a PRIVELEGE to serve God. NOT as a duty, NOT for our own glory but as a PRIVELGE 2 Serve Him. If u choose not to serve Him, God wud still raise anoder person to do the work He orginally destined for you BUT you miss out on living a life which is pleasing to GOD.

IT is a PRIVELEGE!

PROPHESY!

there was a prophetic conference in Indonesia and 2 people by the name of Chuck Pierce and Cind Jacobs prophesied.

Chuck Pierce: Year of 8 - new beginning
Hebrew number for 8 looks alike a door. We have to find the door and ENTER IN, otherwise we will go around in circles.

CP drew a circle around the number - a year where new things are happening.
CP asked the question – GOD is ready, are we ready?
Are we ready for increase? There will be increase of harvest, power, spiritual gifts, supply, authority and favour.

Need to hear GOD in order to move into HIS VISION.
New season of harvest. GOD will again cause us to see the harvest in a new way as many have lost sight of the harvest field. To transform the nation, GOD will have to transform us first.

GOD is looking for 3 generations to align themselves to HIM. When all 3 generations begin to speak the prophetic WORD of GOD in the earth realm, we will see HIS glory manifested.
GOD is calling forth intercessors and those with the prophetic gifts.

Either we are surrounding our nation in prayer in a new way or the enemy is surrounding the nation in a new way. NEED to build A NEW WALL around our nation NOW until end of 2009.
Make decrees into the atmosphere. Speak forth and say what GOD is saying to bring forth the transformation. Speak as a corporate group.

GOD is also asking – "Do you believe that I AM ABLE to bring change and transformation to this land? HE wants us to answer. What comes out of your mouth is what HE is going to work with. We can either agree with HIM or disagree with HIM. If we want to see change, we will have to prophesy. What has been started this year will ACCELERATE next year. If GOD can find a people that can prophesy everything that has been spoken, IT WILL BE DONE. GOD is raising up a prophesying people that will bring change to this whole region.

The enemy does not like GOD's people to prophesy.
Will stir up unbelief to reject the prophecies.
Will come up against the prophetic voice.
We have to keep moving forward. Do not get distracted. DO NOT STOP.

Malaysia, you are at the most critical place.
Your future is hanging on the ballots right now. Need to understand what GOD is saying RIGHT NOW. Things are going in a different direction in this nation.
Someone must decree the prophetic declaration to determine the direction of the nation. Start to decree and you will see the changes taking place.
Timing is very important as you speak prophetically. You need to know GOD's perfect timing, speak it so that it will come to pass. Intercessory people will need to work with the prophetic people to bring the birth and change to the atmosphere.
Malaysia, the next 3 years is so crucial.
You are on the verge of a great breakthrough.
There will be a great manifestation of GOD's promises.
Warning: there are spiritual forces working against us. The enemy hates the thought of great change in this land. THE NEXT 3 WEEKS, things will change. This is a critical time, we MUST NOT BACK OFF but STAND FIRM. The heavens will manifest GOD's glory.
Next year, conflict will increase. KL (the capital) will resist the change. 8 regions will rise up to rally around KL. Next year, continue to declare, to take your stand and DO NOT GIVE UP.
Pray for an increase in the anointing and manifestation of GOD's power and glory. Cindy Jacobs prophecy:
While in Israel, she saw a vision of a great tsunami hitting Asia. When she looked closely, the waves were made up of Asian faces. GOD is raising up a mighty army in Asia. The revival waves will hit South East Asia and the Pacific realm. GOD will use those HE has raised up to bring in the millions in the harvest field.
New move of GOD, new mantle of prayer.
Hab 2:14 - For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea.
Borneo, you are meant for revival. A revival fire is coming upon you, revival among the first nations group. GOD is using the children and the youth. There will be a cleansing of leadership.

wow!..the violin exam 2day was..erm..unpredictable? haha...anyways i still thank God for whatever that has happened coz i believe He wills things to happen for my good..and after bowling managed 2 go see Miss Assunta since todays her birthday! haha..yeah and we were suppose 2 belanja her but ended up being belanja-ed..nasi lemak with additional fried chicken..haha..and finally managed to go bowling wit andrew..haha..

nways bac to the topic. my future decided. As i was bowling, this revelation came to me. (of all times.lol). abit of the basics of bowling. If u were to strike or spare, your points for that certain round(frame) will be decided based on d points of ur next frame. so its lik (10+x) points.

now if sum are desperate to know their marks (which is hard 2 find of coz), they may have scored a few strikes and then simply hit a lousy shot so that they can see where they stand. and this stops them from getin the fullest marks they can get.

Applyin this to daily life. sumtimes God has so much gud things installed for us. Sumtimes we cnt see what wud happen in the future and sumtimes it may seem bleak. Some who cannot "tahan" end up doing the wrong things to find out what wud happen such as seein fortune-tellers, playing with oujia boards and other various future-predicting tools. and guess wad! they miss out on the FULLEST that God can give them. NOT only that! they also have certain bad consequences on them. Do u noe that by gettin involved in such things is lik selling your soul to the devil and he is one who does not let go so easily. so sum ppl experience as tho theres sumthing following them. is that what you desire?

Is it SO HARD TO TRUST GOD WIT UR FUTURE?!

Lets see what His word says bout out future. Taken from Jeremiah 29:11-'For I(God) know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord,'plans for welfare and not for calamity TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE.' WOW! God has plans to prosper us. Isnt dat mor than enough to assure us that as long as we place our future in His hands everything will be fine? o_O.
Taking from Prov 3:5-6- Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. what it means to trust will all your heart and not lean on your own understanding is that though circumstances seem to pointin to a direction against you, do not let your hearts be burdened. Trust God in all things and ur paths will be made straight. As i highlighted the ALL it is actualy to say the whole way. Though things are getting bad but it means to conitnue trusting in Him! Though things seem impossible, God can always deliver us. Is anything to hard for the Lord? Think bout it.

So my brothers and sisters in Christ this is what i would want to recomend to you. If you are goin thru problems and u have never placed your trust in God all the way, i suggest now is the time to put ur trust in God. Mayb it is a call for you to begin trusting God and i am sure you will juz begin to see the delivarance of the Lord.

im in a situation where my violin exam is tomorrow and of coz im practicing alot coz i need to pass..haha..but i realised this. i NEVER prayed before practicing! =S and then it struck me..we always try to do it on our own and only on "THE DAY", we begin to ask God for help..is this RITE? its as though we took God as and additional "power" to help us during exams, presentations, etc. BUT how many of us actually take Him as our main source of strength?

In another example perhaps..before an exam, im sure everyone studies unless they are not interested in studies and plan to fail. BUT every normal person would study. And now ask urself this, do you pray before studyin? pray that God would help you remember the things that you study (im sure every1 test themselves of what dey study by recalling what they have read)? and most people (including me) make the mistake of only praying to God on the exam day itself? Are we taking Him as our main source of strength or juz an additional "power"?

In band practices, as soon as we get to the studio, every1 juz runs up to their instruments and begin jamming. And sumhow the practices dun go as planned and people begin to blame God for not helping them. In the 1st place, was God invited to help out at all times or only when u noe u are gona fail? Are we taking Him as our main source of strength or juz an additional "power"?

I guess we gota learn to make Him our ultimate source of strength rather than just a bonus that Christians have. We should always depend on Him coz its only by Him that we can succeed in what we do. Works done out of our own strength 4 God is like wood and hay when passed thru fire is all burned up and there is nothing left. BUT works done for God by His strength is lik gold when passed thru fire.(1st Cor3:12-15)

And it goes on to say in 1st Cor3:15 that if any man's work is burned up, he sall suffer loss; BUT he himself shall be saved yet so as through fire. ok so you will be on your way to heaven BUT there would be no reward..y miss out on it? besides that, depending on God 4 strength also ensure that better work will be produced on earth and this will glorify His name. Isnt that our purpose?

i had d privelege to meet up with this missionary as my family was on duty to be the speaker hospitality in my church..i asked her bout her work in bhutan.. so it seems that d ppl in bhutan are realy stonge Bhuddist..ok..neva seen 1 yet..but well dey were.. so i asked her how does she witness to them..seems that its done by sharing bible stories..

But wat reli striked me is dis..she said," u wana share, u reli reli gota pray..if not u cnt reach out 2 dem." i went hom, thought bout it, and its actually so so true. think bout it..the non-christians are in the kingdom of satan. so now as u share the gospel, you are like tryin to get them out of that kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. and do you tink satan would juz give them up lik dat?

IT IS SPIRITUAL WARFARE!

now d question is..do you have d compassion for lost souls that u pray 4 dem everyday? well this few days i've been sharing with quite a number of ppl and i tell u it wud be so hard if i din pray..i do not think that there wud be oppurtunities to share if i did not pray..cz the ppl that i witness to seemed to be in situation where they could make a choice to allow God to intervene as those situations cannot be solved by human. So God has the platform to display His power.

So i urge u my brothers and sisters in Christ. Begin to pray mor n mor each day for ur loved ones whom u wana bring to Christ. coz it wud be impossible or very very hard to share with them if u dun. n be more fervent as the days of this time draw to an end.

2day..many things went thru that mind of mine.. so many thoughts, so many ideas. mite write them in future posts but 4 now i wud juz lik to write sumtin which reli hit me 2day!

ok so today there was the passion conference.. believe me it was great! the message was realy challenging and wow! i juz got challenged.! haha..challenged to conform my life to have the purpose of living for His cause. That my life would always make His name renowned and famous as in Isaiah 26:8 which says -Yes Lord, walking in the way of Your laws, we wait for You; Your name and renown are the desire of hearts.- yeah, so i set my heart to juz go all out to shout His fame..I juz began to throw myself in worship n give Him all i had..

As i got home, as i was talking to my parents, there was sum stuf which my mum tried to tell me and it was kinda debatable things bout wat i did.. for example me showing sum "paranormal" pics taken at an accident. She said i was givin all the attention to satan when i was actualy juz showing it to sum church members..ok maybe it was wrong in terms of my heart and motives BUT the point here is the way i answered her.. i tink i was kinda rude. =S

yeah..so think bout dis.. i was juz worshiping God, planning to shout His fame to my generation and here i am disobeyin God's command to honour my father and mother. ouch! apa ni!? yeah well.. then this revelation hit me! When we juz plan to do so many things 4 God;

It is jus IMPOSSIBLE to do it witout His strength!

I guess my heart was confident that i would be able to serve Him witout dependin on Him at all dats God allowed me to go thru this to wake me up. in oder ways say "hei! I noe your heart and how much u wana serve Me BUT u gota do it in my strength!'..haha..yea.. u c..weneva we begin to do things in our strength, the glory wud go 2 ourselves and of cz thats WRONG! all glory BELONGS , not we should give but BELONGS in other words its HIS! so by geting glory 4 ourselves, we indirectly rob God of wat belongs to Him. =S

Besides that we have to acknowlegde that we are weak before God can begin to show His strength in us. 2 Cor 12:9-My grace is sufficient for You, for My power is made perfect in weakness-.

so yea. conclusion is you gota acknowledge that witout Him it is IMPOSSIBLE to anythin to please Him and that You mus ALWAYS rely on His strength. =)

i would lik to base this post on Job 29:4

-Oh, for the days when I was in my prime, when God's intimate friendship blessed my house.-

so Job was remembering the "good old days" so to speak. Now most people would think that "prime" means lik being rich and have many things. but NO! as the verse continues on, it clearly says that when God's INTIMATE FREINDSHIP blessed his house. so u c. it was not about riches or possesions but rather God's friendship.

As a young boy, i used to think that my prime was when i was in form 1,2 and 4. coz dos were the years with great acheivements for me (at least for me). yea but as a matter of fact:

I NEVER HAD A REAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD!

yes i called on Him when facing the challenges BUT i took Him as tho He was a genie and when i prayed i would get what i want! So in actual that was actually the worst years of my life. lol. as 4 my prime? i dare not judge to say how gud my relationship is with God but anyways i guess i haven reach my prime yt. XD

SO the question is

ARE U A CLOSE (intimate) FRIEND OF GOD??

and d 2nd part of d verse, 'when God's intimate friendship blessed my house'. dis basically toks bout d benefits of having an intimate relationship with God. ok so we are not married and have kids n bla bla. but dun u tink dat this house could also mean our future generations as long as they follow God's word too?! excitin isnt it. We can see that God actualy WANTS To bless us. its juz us weder we allow Him to or not.

So as i close, i would juz lik to urge all of u, my brothers and sisters in Christ.. Begin to have that INTIMATE relationship with God. not juz normal but CLOSE. u cn begin by talking to God (praying) as in every relationship, the way it becomes intimate is by means of communication. Pray everyday! =)

this past few days, i've been goin thru sum hard times..its personal stuff..haha..but anyhow..i realise that i have been goin out alot, spending time with lotsa frens in order to find comfort. goin out alot oso spend alot of money ar.!! haha..but nway thats not the point.

What im tryin to highlight here is that i DID NOT think of God as a beta comforter instead i chose to put my trust in men and their counsel. As i was doin my quiet time, God really struck me with this. Guilty as charged! I had ignored God and im so so sory to Him. Dun get me wrong, its not wrong to tell your frens ur probs but i tink God shud be the 1st priority and the 1st one u tell everything.

However, juz think bout it. how many of us when in trouble actually tink of callin out to God? or do we tink bout our best frens and call dem instead? As christians we should be puttin our trust in God and God shud alwiz be the 1st 2 noe!! as in psalms 20:7-Some may trust in chariots and some in horses (human things) but we will trust in God.

The irony is, we tell our frens and wat can dey do? the most also is juz give good advice but can they change the situation?? but now ask this to urself. can GOD change the situation? i tink we all noe the answer. THEN why do we still go to friends instead of God?

There was once this pastor who spoke to our church. He told us this. there was this person who had lotsa probs and she called the pastor and kept goin on and on and on...and the pastor told her to tok 2 God. guess wad! she cudn even last 4 10 mins??

WHY HAVE WE PUT GOD OUT OF OUR LIVES??

dosent it juz sadden Him? =S n im not judgin any1 cz i myself am guilty of such acts but i juz wana encourage all of us brothers and sisters in Christ to put our trust in God rather then in men. Then begin to see His delivarance! .

Sumtimes you may say , "God is not there. I tok but he neva listens." yup.no doubt i've been thru that. but how many of you actualy noe that our God is actualy workin behind the scenes? juz as there was a period of silence between malachi and matthew, God was actually preparing sumtin so great and that is salvation's plan 4 humans.

So TRUST IN THE LORD! NOT in men!

in life.. u will definitely com across ppl who do evil things, hurt alot of people BUT still get away unscathed, unpunished and u tink 2 urself where is the God hu is suppose 2 be just..believe me i have been in such situation many times. sumtimes im d victim while at times i see my frens being victims. Lets go to the word of the Lord and see what he says.

In Psalms 37, it says;
(verse 1-2)
Do not fret because of evil because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong. For like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants, they will soon die away.

IN the bible it says so clearly that this people will not get away with it in the end. At the end of the day dey sure kena wan. And it also tells us not to fret in oder words dun be frus over such kinda tings cz God noes wat He's doing. Lik the verse in Gal 6:7- God cannot be mocked, what a man sows that he shall reap. The one who sows in sinful nature will reap DESTRUCTION.
C That!! God will punish them..So do not wory.So if v dun wory den wat r v supose 2 do?

Reading on fr Psalms 37 (verse 3-4)

Trust in the Lord and DO GOOD. Dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight urself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

God tells us to continue to do good. and in my opinion i tink dis gud also means towards our enemies or those who have done evil to us and manage to get away with it. In this way not only do we obey God's command but also we mite possibly win over anoder soul 4 Christ coz the world's idea is 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' and when these ppl begin to see d diff in us dun u tink dey will wana noe wat causes this diff? =)

However i would strongly advice u NOT to laugh at ur enemies when God punishes them coz it says in Prov 24:17 that if u laugh when ur enemies fall, the Lord will see and disapprove and turn His wrath away from him. What i would recommend you do is to show compassion towards those who are bein punished. Then only then will the world see d difference in u.

It our goal to be Christ-like and this is one of the ways. It is definitely not easy but by His strength we can do ALL things.

sory ppl 4 the long time no post..lol..been busy wit exams (tho not reli dat busy..lol)..nways i juz wana testify dat God has been criously criously GOOD to me durin the exams..managed to do questions which people find hard to do and i for sure this is not because im smart but because God has helped me through it. PRAISE GOD!!!

ya.nway this thought had been in my mind for quite sum time and it really saddens me. This is wad happend..

One Sunday i had d privilege of bring a non-christian friend (classmate) to church. So during worship as i was up on the stage playin the guitar i saw this classmate of mine really singing his heart out. Just imagine a non-christian who does not have a relationship wit Jesus and has never had a personal encounter singing with all his heart. Whether he noes wat the words mean or not i duno but he was just singing his heart out! sumtimes i think dis reli puts sum of us to shame because we dun sing with all our hearts to God (not all but some. dun gt me wrong.=)..).

At the same time there was this other christian, a long time christian, in fact longer than i have been a christian. This person was just standing there with his arms folded and juz lookin up at the lyrics posted on the screen. Not even opening his mouth to sing.=S

Imagine a non-christian who has neva seen the greatness of God (more of lik dosent noe its God) singing all his heart out to God and a christian who had a personal encounter with God, seen and noes the greatness of God juz standing there with arms folded. ??? wat is dis?! Does God deserve sumtin lik dat from a person he has juz saved from eternal damnation? i dun tink so. i tink we really need to give all our heart, soul and strength to God when we worship him coz it is a commandment to love the Lord with all ur heart, soul and strength and mind (Luke10:27) and worshiping God is an act of expressing our love to God. i juz dun see how it is possible for a christian to juz act as though nothin happend.

pls, i juz hope n pray that all of us will begin to give all our best to God coz then and only then can u really begin to enjoy the worship session cz God will be present when there are hearts just so desperate and devoted to Him. AND u beta gt used to it coz in heaven we will spending most of our time worshiping the one and only great GOD! =)..

As the end of the world draws near, we as Christians should begin to be even more fervent in carryin out the great commission that Jesus gave us (Mat 28:19-20). The harvest is great but the workers few. Let not that be the situation now cz the coming of our LORD is ever so close. I am sure u wudn wana c hell filled wit all ur loved ones. SO....

Before i begin, what inspired me to write this is because of a song, an old hymn titled "nothing but the blood of Jesus". Old song but yt so powerful its meanin

Chorus:

Verse 1:
What can wash away my sins?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

As u all know, we have been cleansed n redeemed by the blood of Jesus n im sure this is such gud new cz we are now counted righteous and whole again! And if dis is such gud new, how can we just keep it 2 ourselves?? Just as u have discovered a place that sells the best "char koay teow", wudnt u tell all ur frens bout that place? now ask urself this..what is beta news? Char koay teow (food wich is of no eternal value) or bout the work Christ has done 4 us on d cross (wich is of eternal value)?

and if u haven been sharing the gospel wit ur frens, i hope that ur reason 4 nt doin so is that ur shy or afraid of wat dey mite tink cz if any1 is ashamed of me (Jesus) and my words in this aduletrous and sinful generation the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in His Father's glory with the holy angels (Mark 8:38).

Anyway 4 dos hu duno how 2 convince people bout the gudness of God, i have tot n heard bout wat makes Christianity so different from other religions.

Christianity is NOT a religion..it is a relationship wit God! a shocker to sum but it is a fact. If u were 2 tok bout other religions, its quite obvious that is all rituals and things they do to make them luk "spiritual". Wherelse in Christianity, we are not based on so many rituals n its so free flowing. Can u imagine a buddhist monk goin in to free-flow worship while prayin to their god. In fact all that most religions do is juz a prayer that is memorized n nt reli fr d heart.

Adding on to that, if u were to c the Lord's prayer the first line says Our FATHER...God is our FATHER so imagine wat dat makes us. CHILDREN of GOD!! n s children v hav so many privelleges as u all noe cz im sure all of u have parents. and if God is KING then we are prince n princess. So we would be goin round callin ea oder "Yes Your Highness Andrew or yes ur highness Andrew..etc..(u gt d idea lar..) haha.."
NO other god in this world eva gave up deir life 4 the people. Yes this is one of d strongest n most powerful points u cud use to share cz the one n ONLY God to have died for us is Jesus! and in my point of view i juz dun c how ppl cud ignore the fact dat sum1 loved dem so much to the point of givin His life 4 dem. I would be so touched that sum1 would do dat 4 me.
Transformation in Christianity starts from the inside. gud works is nt sumtin you have to be force to do but rather is a nature of you cz it says in the bible ,"If anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW creation; the old has passed gone the new has come!(2 Cor 5:17)". Luking at other religions, they do so much works as tho tryin to force dem down n sumhow it neva seems to change deir life.

Anothe way u cn share the gospel and in fact is one of the tings that creates an opportunity to share is ur LIFE!!. The world watches all our actions and when they c dat v r diff fr dem, always joyful despite the problems that we face, this would raise questions in their head bout how com we are so diff n den there..u have ur chance to share!!

So u cn c that Christianity is one of a kind. SO go forth and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Aiyo com on lar..we all know dis..we worship only 1 true God..we are not idolaters..

but how many of u know that idolatry does not only mean worshiping oder gods lik buddha, kuan yin, shiva, etc....??

In Luke 16:13, Jesus said,"no servant can serve 2 masters: Either he will hate one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

YOU CANNOT SERVE BOTH GOD AND MAMMON (money)

A new form of idolatry is on the rise and it is so subtle that people dun even realise it. In fact Christians are also trapped in such. Money!! dats rite. MOney. Eva heard people includin christians say "aiyo no time 4 church lar, need money money money..."? in my life, i've been hearing this quite often in fact. sum noe it 2 b rong BUT yt still choose to folo this lifestyle.

BEfore i began i would first like make it clear that money IS important BUT when it comes between you and God then u noe God has to come 1st. But sumhow people still choose to go after the things of the world. No doubt we need money to survive in this world but does that mean we have to forget all about God in order to gain wealth? certainly NOT!

As i have mentioned in my previous post, if any1 loves the tings of the world, the love of the Father is NOT in him. As christians we should realise that we are only passer-bys in this world. What we gather from here we cannot take for eternity. So?? u can make ur own conclusion.

I have encountered a few people who chose money and riches over God n i've seen how deir lives have been cursed. ALWAYS in need, ALWAYS in debt? is this the kind of lifestyle u want? y not choose to put ur trust in God. Seek His kingdom and righteousness FIRST then all this tings shall be added unto You (Mat 6:33). Is it so hard to trust God to provide for all our need in fact to even give us that abundant life? Honour God and He WILL honour You!

One foot in the world, one in God.. Will this work? NO!! how can a servant serve 2 masters?

Honour God and He will honour You. Remeber Your 1st love!

as u browse thru frenster or any of dos type of websites, juz check out d way ppl dress up (esp gurls) in all their pics.. all dressed up so revealing..wats d purpose??

2 major principles in God's word b4 i continue :

1 Cor 10:31-32;

so wheter u eat o drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble...
1 Cor 10:23-24;

Everything is permissible-BUT not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible but not everything is constructive. Nobody should seek his own good but the good of others.

so the kingdom of God is not about food or clothing. " I can dress WATEVA way i want as long as i feel GOOD!" this is wat ppl mite tink bout deir dressing. but ask urself dis b4 putting on dos clothes.

We as chrisitians should not follow the way the world does tings. So all ur frens are dressing up lik all dis stars. Must u folo dem? Do not be conformed to the ways of this world. Do not love the world or ANYTHING in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world- the cravings of sinful men, the lust of his eyes and the and the boastings of what he has and does comes not from the Father but from the world (1 John 2:15-16). from this i tink its obvious that if u love the ways of the world den sumting is wrong.
as mentioned in d verse, we should not seek our own good but the good of others. Do u tink its 4 the good of sum1 wen u cause sum1 to fall in2 sin by causing them to lust after u? A quote by Paul Wahser bout the this type of dressing, "if ur clothes were a frame for ur face, God would be please. if ur clothes were a frame for ur body, God would not be please."

I dun mean to judge any1 but i tink dis is sumtin dat v shud criously consider. As ambassadors for Christ, the world is watching. If u were to dress anyway the world does, how does that make u any different from the people in the world?
